POP (Player-Owned Ports) Discussion Topic

A bunch of us maintain ports so I want to open up a discussion and reference topic in case it will help (or even entertain) those who wish to find success at sea  shark 

I am currently in The Loop, one of two newly added areas. I am about to get my first Wisp. Ports are very elaborate and while there is a lot of content, it is quite possible to master the basics and to rule the high seas! Arrr! parrot

One thing I would like to know about would be which types of crew are the best for each region. I still use a Judge of Dice. Not sure that is the best thing.

One tip is to complete all your storyline voyages as eventually they will lead to getting a ton of trade goods Wink

Hey Rew do you know if you have to reach the furthest area possible to be able to do this? Or can you complete them just by getting random story missions every now and then

Also a tip to all is to do meg's (not our meg) mini game every week...
If you answer her in the best way possible (wiki can help) your guaranteed a large lamp a bit of cash

I believe that there is one story mission per adventurer per region.  You unlock each mission when you both have access to its region and have completed all previous story missions for that adventurer.  You get bonus trade goods after completing the sixth story mission in each storyline (there used to be only six regions; you do not have to unlock the two newest regions to get a trade good bonus).  I don't know exactly how combo missions work, as I only have one adventurer.  I also don't know whether or not they added new story missions (and therefore, more trade good rewards?) with the two new regions.

They added more missions Smile
The combo stuff routes you to the final rewards; they get used up later in general if I am not mistaken Smile

Mateys I'm 21% to the last area.

3 x wisps, feels good. Will see if I fail later but today all of my voyages passed Smile
