Howdy Mike! Smile

My advice to you is to not be discouraged if you run into any roadblocks. Ask away in our clan chat and we are usually quick to answer questions. Even I ask questions myself, since I'm fairly nooby to an extent as well. Very Happy

Welcome, Mike!

RuneScape is such an enormous game that it's really hard for anyone to be fully knowledgeable with every part of the game. That's why clans are so useful! The clan is like a thinktank of players that can collectively solve any answer and overcome any obstacle! One tip that I'd give you right away is that if you die in the wilderness now, you drop EVERYTHING (unless you pray protect item). So, don't go three-itemming out there and lose millions worth of gold, like one of our members recently did...

Have fun, and enjoy the new experiences and obstacles!

Three iteming?
And does that include gold that's not in the bank?

Welcome (back) Mike! Smile

I have tons of tips but it is hard to pick out anything really general that applies in an important way.

Ask questions in the cc and use this info site often: http://runescape.wikia.com
Those two resources should give you everything you need to know. Avoid feeling overwhelmed by all the content starting out; just do what you want to settle into things Smile

Welcome! We talked some yesterday, but if you have any questions about skilling or anything just shoot me a pm in game! But everyone in the clan is willing and loves to help with anything, so I know you'll be up and going like before in no time!

You used to keep your three most valuable items when you died in the wilderness, so people would go out there with only three items with the idea that if they died, they wouldn't lose anything. Now, that is not the case.

The gold in your money pouch is safe, yes, but unaccessible in the wilderness. That is, if you pick up any money in the wilderness (for example, from killing a monster), it will go to your inventory and you will be unable to add it to your money pouch while in the wilderness. So just don't get some lurer to convince you to take all of your money out of your money pouch before you enter the wilderness. Smile
