Weekly XP Challenge

Starting now, we will be having weekly XP challenges!  Each week, a skill will be randomly selected (with Overall being an option), and we will all compete to see who can gain the most XP in that skill in one week!  I will be keeping track of everyone's XP amounts using a website called RuneTrack.  Each week will start and end at the same time as the citadel reset, which is currently 11:19 PM EST on Mondays.

For the first week, the randomly chosen skill was... Hunter!     (Shhh. Be vewy vewy quiet, I'm hunting wabbits)

I think the Citadel reset time may drift by 6h each week :O

Hunter sounds like a great start!

Very excited about this! Admittedly this has sort of re-kindled my interest in my main account, so back to the Max Cape grind for me! These weekly challenges should be an ample way of going after my goals.

I will need to speak with Jake on a couple of ideas, but I would like to introduce CP prizes to weekly winners, and I like the idea of developing a pool of GP for the winner. Something that adds bits to the coffers but mostly goes back to winners (top 3).

Yea i think a CP reward would be great motivation for competition!
Also I'd be more than willing to commit a certain amount of gp weekly to a pool for xp winner payoffs/to contribute to overall clan coffers... To be specific I will volunteer 500k per week to a reward pool that can be distributed however Rew and Jake see fit

Here's a tiny idea... what if (assuming we can establish a moderate pool of gp) the winner can choose to keep the winnings or donate it all to coffers and if they donate back to coffers they could receive a (small amount) of CP bonus points. Just a thought

The GP return for CP idea appeals to me. As for holding the GP, for now I prefer to have just one person/account holding it all. Probably mine (or Matt's), as at least we could be made responsible for losses via d2jsp due to our tags.

So it looks like Big Chinchompa is double the experience! If you guys are wanting some easy experience, I would suggest doing some Big Chinchompa. Also, if you have an Enhanced Yaktwee stick, and you equip it before emptying your moth jar, you get the 5% bonus.

Week one has ended!  There wasn't much contention between the top three places, but the bonus xp weekend definitely helped set apart the people who were actively training hunter and those who weren't.  A few congratulations are in order:

Congratulations to Pyherion, who gained over 2.6 million hunter xp!
Congratulations to Vandamage, who gained 230% of his starting xp!  (He over tripled his xp.)
Congratulations to Yanoteveo, who gained 28 hunter levels and also broke RuneTrack's calculator!  (View the results to see what I mean.  )

It's also interesting to look at other skills in the tracker, especially in light of bonus xp weekend.  Kay_____0 managed to gain over 21 million total xp in the past week!  

We still haven't nailed down the fine points of the rewards, what with bonus xp weekend taking all of our time and Rew catching the flu, but rewards will be coming.  I'm a little late, but I'm going to start the second weekly xp challenge with a new topic now.  

Didn't realize how much exp I was getting until the end of the week haha. 1.2m of that was on day 1 of BXPW.

Awesome gains, everyone. Love that RuneTrack had issues with Yanoeveo's exp haha.

This is a GREAT comp idea so hopefully the big prizes will help it become competitive The first week's winners will get CPs, but with no GP/chance to double the CPs. This would affect Matt the most, but he can't get CPs anyway

1st place -10 CPs, 50% weekly comp funds (can be traded to Coffers for double CPs)
2nd place - 7 CPs, 30% weekly comp funds (can be traded to Coffers for double CPs)
3rd place - 5 CPs, 20% weekly comp funds (can be traded to Coffers for double CPs)
